Centre for Newcomers

A key not-for-profit resource centre for Calgary’s immigrants and refugees of all nationalities to receive settlement and integration services and information. The Centre provides training programs and collaborative support services to promote full integration, cultural diversity, community participation, and citizenship, for more than 10,000 newcomers each year.

Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS)

A community leader with over 35 years of solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive resettlement and integration services to refugees and immigrants. They pride themselves in delivering these services through a dynamic multicultural, multilingual and multidisciplinary team of professionals, who collectively speak over 60 languages. This diversity enables them to provide clients and the community with optimum assistance. They have over 1,500 volunteers who devote their time to helping newcomers.

A multi-sectoral partnership that is designed to help improve the integration of immigrants in the city as well as to strengthen the city’s ability to better integrate and address the needs of newcomers. CLIP brings together local stakeholders to develop a comprehensive strategy that will improve the integration of newcomers, while making Calgary an increasingly welcoming and inclusive city.

For 30 years CBFY has provided a welcoming and inclusive environment for immigrant and refugee children, youth and their families by enriching them with the appropriate skills, information, knowledge and experience as they build a life in Canada.
